About Extreme Networks

Extreme Networks was started in 1999, with the aim of taking care of the computers whilst our customers take care of business.

We operated out of a spare room in our house for 3 years, until we employed 5 people and had a turnover of $700,000. One of our early wins was a contract with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. We picked up contracts looking after 17 Primary Schools in the local area. We still have the same brilliant engineer looking after some of those schools today! We realised our little home business was getting a lot more serious and we needed to expand. We move into a Factory in Peninsula Blvd Seaford and the next year we were featured in the BRW Fast 100.

Soon after we became Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, capitalising on our growing skillsets around Small Business Server 2000 and 2003. We also did a lot of work with Terminal Servers for customers who were running MYOB.

We soon outgrow our little Factory and moved just up the road to Hartnett Drive. We continued to add employees and grow our skillset. We added a team of web developers, who are extremely capable at building line of business applications. We now have an extremely talented application development team, responsible for building and maintaining several house hold name websites.

Our developer wing has a mix of skills including an MBA from Mt Eliza Business School, 2 senior application developers and a graphics designer. In our spare time we built 4x4 Earth, the home of the National 4WD Tracks Database and a website that regularly gets in excess of 500,000 page views per month and streams over 1 Terabyte of data for 4WDTV and Your 4x4. (That's a lot of data)

Today, we have a team of 16, including Microsoft Exchange, SQL, Terminal and Small Business Server experts, Microsoft .Net, Azure and PHP developers. We look after accountants, lawyers, doctors, hospitals, manufacturers and a whole host of other industries.
